I work as a copywriter in Calgary, Canada. In the past I’ve done ‘real’ writing, aka editorial work, but I’ve been doing the ad guy thing for a few years now and that’s become my career. I write because its a compulsion and because I really like doing it. I race bikes when I can, for the same reasons. Some seasons more than others, and some seasons not at all. Although I’ve had a real renaissance in the last year or so. I love ‘cross and that’s become the catalyst for the rest of my riding. There’s beauty in all of it. Back on the road for the necessary miles of base, mountain bikes for the love of the escape and ’cause dirt is rad, and track because of its intensity and the true competitiveness of it. I’ve always been riding though, since I was 15 and got a lavender Miyata 512 one spring.
Antoine de Saint-exupery once said:

Anima sana in corpore sano also makes a lot of sense to me.
