Yeah, so what the f is ZING? Well. There’s a story about that.
JJ is currently a postie in the city I live in, but before that he was a career bike messenger. JJ worked as a messenger for around 8 years or so. I worked as one for one. And he would do this thing to animate any story he was telling about messengering or riding. He would hold his fists out in front of him, bottoms parallel to the floor with the backs of his hands outward, and a slight 3-degree bend to his wrists, like he was holding the hoods of a road bike, and he’d rock his hands back and forth and go ‘zing-zing-zing-zing-zing’ to describe the sensation of flying up the road on a bicycle. So that’s it, ZING is when you’re flying up the road on your bicycle.
